Is this a good meal day plan in order to lose weight?

Breakfast: Special K Cereal
Lunch:Special K Bar
Dinner: Kiwi and Strawberries with Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt
Snacks:Sometimes Baked Lays (120 calories)
and i also run 2 miles everyday before i go to bed
i can run my mile in 17:24 thats my fastest and my slowest is 19:09
im also 5′1 and 138 pounds ![]()

To lose weight you just need to burn more than you eat, it is as simple as that.
Putting it into practice is more difficult than saying it of course but knowing this simple fact ensures that if you take even one small step towards losing weight at least you take it in the right direction and not the wrong one like many do,.,…

Why are you replacing your meals with special K crap?
Regardless of what they say, those things don’t even remotely have anything good for you.
Try salads.
And you also need PROTEIN.
And veggies.
edit: &getting around 1500 calories a day.
That’s probably about 900 max.
Your running is fine; idk if it’s bad to run before bed, but the fact you run is fine.

NO – this is terrible – where is the protein and real food.
You are basically starving your body – this will result in your body going into survival mode and holding onto any fat it has. I have just answered a question for another young girl so i will tell you the same thing.
"So stick to a healthy eating plan. There are lots of them around but it should go something like this.
3 meals and 2 snacks a day. Cook your own food – tell your mum you are taking over the cooking if family meals are a problem.
A serve of lean protein at each meal about the size of your palm – lean meat, eggs, fish, beans, chickpeas, lentils, tofu or lean dairy.
Lots of green veggies
some root veggies – about 1/2 cup twice a day ( bell peppers, carrots, beets,)
2 – 3 pieces of fruit
Some healthy grains – steel cut oats, brown rice – limit bread to whole wheat and don’t have it every day.
Eggs, porridge or smoothie for breakfast. Add a piece of fruit at this time.
Big salad for lunch with some chicken or hard boiled eggs. make it yourself in the morning before school. Or maybe a baked potato with chili beans or vegetable soup in the winter ( not the creamy type)
Steamed green veggies and lean protein for dinner or a stir-fry or curry you have made yourself.
Snacks of fruit, low fat yogurt, gluten free crackers, cottage cheese and raw nuts/seeds.
A must is to add some healthy fat to your day – avocado, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, nuts, etc. Put the oil on your salad mixed with balsamic vinegar.
Stay away from diet sodas and diet foods. They usually contain artificial sweetener which is not good when you are trying to drop pounds.
Your drink of choice should be tap water – add some lemon slices or kiwi into it if you don’t like it plain.
Workout 6 days a week
3 days cardio – running , biking, swimming, basketball, dance class etc – 30 – 40 mins is fine – don’t overdo it. Enjoy your movement.
Some very light strength training for 45 mins alternate days. – light weights at the gym or at home.
Have Sunday off your workouts and use this day for a small treat – you have a young body so you can do a treat once a week.
But most of all be grateful for what you have and enjoy your life – don’t get obsessed with the whole ‘diet mentality’ thing. Just concentrate on being healthy and eat plenty of real food."

hey… janet here.. hopefully my own personally story can be of some guidance/help to you..
I’m 5′8 and at the time I was about 220 lbs.. and was trying real hard to lose weight for almost 8 months… i just had a baby girl at the time.. and during my pregnancy i gained a tonnnn of weight and much of it stuck with me after she was born, and the hubby began getting on my case and bothering me non stop about my new weight problem… so after a few months of that, it really started getting to me, plus summer was about to get here- and i love the beach! So i decided to try and do something about it…
ive since tried almost every diet system out there… the standard eat less-exercise more change lifestyle diet, south beach, atkins, slimfast, acai berry, weight watchers, etc… I also tried taking many different weight loss supplements.. and overall nothing has really worked well for me….
