Question about bed and breakfast and how much privacy you get.?
Jan 8th, 2010 by admin
Do bed and breakfast give the run of the house? Are you stuck to just the dining room and bedroom? Is there your own personal area besides the bed room? That the person that owns the house won’t go in and bug you?
Do you get your personal bath rooms?
Is the person who owns the house always there? Do they sit with you while you eat? Are they like always watching you or do they leave you alone? Do they talk to you? Is it weird?
Please answer these questions.
ive stayed in a bb and for the most part we stayed in our room that had an attached bathroom and the giant porch. The owners were at breakfast but they served us and talked for a little while an went back to cleaning and preparing food for other guests. its not really weird its kinda like staying at a friends family’s house. The people are friendly without being up ur bum, and you can go anywhere in the house or grounds(except rooms). but it might depend on the bb your looking at.

Everyone is different. Please check them out carefully and be sure to phone beforehand.
The one I was at gave us our room, sitting area, bar fridge in kitchen, dining room, garage ( for motorcycles), and hot tub.
Our hostess/host were awesome people and we would go there again.
They didn’t eat with us but did converse during our meal. There were 8 of us total. And they made the most awesome breakfast ever.

It really depends. If you’re getting married, they’ll for surely give you privacy. Some places like to cook for you but if you don’t want that, the B & B isn’t for you. Usually the B&B people are very sociable and enjoy learning about people and new places. It’s not weird…..just very natural, very comfortable.
You usually don’t have your own bathroom but sometimes you’re in the B&B by yourself so that’s okay. I’ve never had issues with other customers at the Bed and Breakfasts…..very considerate and happy people.
If you want to be left alone, just let them know!!! They just want you happy and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed in a B&B for our honeymoon and we only saw the owners when they brought in breakfast to the dining room in the mornings. This B&B also provided a cell phone for use to use while we were there so if we wanted to go to a good restaurant we could call them and they would suggest places and give us directions it was great and the room has a bathroom in it it was huge. Also they had to sitting rooms downstairs where u could read or do whatever and not be bothered and they also had a dvd collection downstairs where u could go get a movie and then watch it upstairs in your room if u are wanting to go to san antonio texas the place is called the 1708 ayres inn.
